"Slovenia - September 2019. Wonderful, inspiring walks that offered enough challenge. Excellent, knowledgeable, and helpful guides. Comfortable hotel with good friendly service. It was nice to stay in a hotel that was locally owned and family run. Excellent holiday experience." "

"Slovenia - September 2019. I thought the pre-holiday information was excellent. We loved the hotel, particularly the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is particularly good and the dinner was always very enjoyable with fresh fruit available if we didn’t always want pudding or cake.I thought our guides were brilliant. They made it fun, even though I found some of the walks were challenging. I felt a sense of achievement at the end of the day after a tough walk. The organisation was very good and everything went smoothly. There was always an alternative if we weren’t able to complete a more difficult walk for any reason. The lunch stops were always expecting us and we enjoyed them. I did find some of it challenging, but I was very pleased that I was able to complete some of the more difficult walks and felt great afterwards. I really loved the holiday. I particularly enjoyed the company of the rest of the group, who were a variety of personalities. We had great fun. We are planning our next Secret Hills Walking holiday for next year. We have already recommended Secret Hills to friends and would do so again. Alan did a great job organising our holiday. We will definitely be back."

- Alison Mountain - September 2019

"Slovenia - September 2019. We enjoyed the guided walking experience but felt a bit too slow for us – last 2 days were more our preferred strenuousness, but slow and a bit short for us, first day very disappointing but to an extent it was always going to be! Perhaps we could have split into 3 groups as there were so few of us or the descriptions could have implied a level of fitness/previous hill walking required. But we were the youngest and possibly the fittest! The option to slow the pace was there, but not to raise the game."

- Bridget Bradford - September 2019

"Slovenia - September 2019. The guides were excellent, and the group as a whole were great and worked as a team during the walks. I personally was encouraged, and I would say inspired to challenge myself and achieve treks that I may not have otherwise done. A fabulous experience. Absolutely loved it! From the flights to the hotel, the lead on the ground Alan, the guides, the walks and the group as a whole. What more can I say! "

- Barbara Donegan - September 2019

"Slovenia - September 2019. Well organised. Lovely hotel and excellent food. Friendly helpful guides and hotel staff. "

- Melissa Derringer - September 2019

"Slovenia - June 2019. Initial enquiry dealt with very promptly and fully. Enjoyed myself tremendously, despite the heat. It was a fun walking group, and some of the walks were challenging. Alan was a very patient tour leader, guiding me through the many “rocky” downhill sections. Our Slovene guide, was great; Passionate about the Slovene countryside. I enjoyed all the walks and Alan’s “bimbles”."

What Others Said...

Caroline Lumb - Lakes Xmas Party December 2014 Alan & the team never fail to deliver an excellent walking experience and offer a huge variety of locations.  So far I have been on 4 UK weekends and a week in Majorca and every one of those have been great fun and exceeded my expectations.  I hope to fit in several more next year.
